Ian Duffy

Ian Duffy is the founder and co-owner of Granite Fitness and Performance, and both a lifelong athlete and resident of Dover. He hopes to give back to the Seacoast area by providing a clean, safe, state-of-the-art facility for people to train. Ian’s main areas of expertise are functional strength and conditioning, injury prevention and athletic performance enhancement. He understands how the body works and believes strongly that movement quality effects long term health and fitness.
Ian is passionate about helping people find their place in the gym and help athletes perform the best at their sport. He wants to help people reach their full potential using training methods that help, not hurt – believing you should never have to push through pain to achieve the results you desire in the gym.
Ian has a degree in Human Science concentrated in Human Performance from the University of Tampa. His passion for continuing his education has lead him to obtain his Functional Movement Screen Level 1 (FMS-L1) Certification along with his Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1 Certification (CFSC-L1) and his National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Training Certificate (NASM-CPT).

Jake shollar

While sticking to the most up to date research on training principles, Jake has a desire to both educate and create diverse workout plans that keep the workouts interesting while providing the most effective methods.
When he’s not at Granite, Jake enjoys taking his dog to the beach, hiking the 4,000 footers, golfing, and snowboarding.

Kara Pavlidis

As the Assistant General Manager, personal trainer, and Registered Dietitian, Kara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role at Granite. With a passion for health and wellness, she thrives on helping members achieve their fitness goals and lead healthy, sustainable lifestyles.
Kara received her Bachelor Degree in Health Science Nutrition from Keene State College in 2014, and is a Licensed & Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She also holds a Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1 Certification (CFSC-L1).
Kara takes a personalized approach to each client, recognizing that everyone’s needs and abilities are unique. Her focus on client movement is slow, mindful, and simple. She takes the time to understand their goals, motivations, and challenges, tailoring her training and dietary recommendations accordingly.
When she’s not at Granite, Kara enjoys surfing, snowboarding, reading, and cooking.

Adam recently moved from Colorado Springs to the Dover area. He is an experienced trainer and has been in the fitness industry for about five years. He is a lifelong advocate of living a healthy and active lifestyle, along with having a little fun!
His main areas of expertise are functional strength and conditioning, hypertrophy training and athletic performance. He strives to help his clients meet the goals of living longer, gaining strength and muscle, and feeling better both mentally and physically.
He believes the gym and committing to a workout routine can set the stage for living a proactive and purpose filled life.
Adam holds his Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1 Certification (CFSC-L1) and his National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Training Certificate (NASM-CPT) along with a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRC-MS) Certificate.

His years of training have been centered around making himself a better player, which is a big reason he wanted to get into coaching other people. Ryder loves working with young athletes and developing their strength foundation as well as sport-specific skillsets. A lot of his learning about strength and conditioning was through trial and error, so he loves being able to pass on the information he’s learned to other athletes.
When Ryder isn’t at Granite, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, basketball, and pickleball. He has hiked many of the NH 4,000 footers, snowboarded Tuckerman’s Ravine, and traveled the country for some good snow. quality people.

Charley (they/he) is a Movement Specialist. Their background when it comes to your health is from working in Massage Therapy (LMT), Behavior Change (ACE), Functional Fitness (FSC), and Human Movement (GOATA).
For them, health and fitness is inclusive, holistic, and therapeutic. There is something for everybody and everybody. When working with Charley, the constant goal for you is to be confident moving through your day to day life. The next is building the foundation to climb to your next level.
When Charley is not at Granite, they like to get outside hiking on the trails and swim when possible. You can also find them playing games (board, video, puzzle, you name it!) with their partners and friends.

She took her National Academy of Sports Medicine exam to become a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) as she has a passion for health and wellness as well as helping others accomplish their goals.
Rachel’s goals are to help each client improve their physical needs while creating a lively, positive environment to train in. Rachel also has an interest in nutritional science and mental health as she believes those are very important topics to stay educated on for herself and clients.
When she’s not at Granite, Rachel loves to run, swim, hike and hangout with her family and friends. She also loves to go on long walks with her dog and try new coffee places.
